Italian Restaurants on New York City's Upper East Side




Erminia Italian Restaurant is a cozy, one-room, establishment what has been touted the most romantic restaurant in New York City. The ambiance oozes authenticity, from its rustic barn aesthetic to the Italian collectibles that grace the walls. Diners will need to dress up, as most patrons are seen wearing either a shirt and tie or a suit. Women are mostly seen in dresses and skirts. The restaurant's menu features Italian dishes made with homemade mozzarella and a variety of fresh meats, seafood and pasta.

Sfoglia is an Italian fine dining restaurant that is best known for its famous "Pasta Sfoglia" cookbook and repeat appearances on the "Martha Stewart Show." Additionally, to help preserve the restaurant's environment, diners may be asked to silence their cell phone when they are inside. High Low Schoolfeest Jurken Sfoglia, due to its semi-celebrity status, is booked six weeks out and requires reservations. Inside guests will find classic Tuscan decor accented by hanging chandeliers. Some highlights of the menu include Chianti-Braised Venison with turnips and pomegranate, Sfoglia's Chicken al Mattone and Caramelized Jerusalem Artichokes.

If not in the mood for fine dining and want homemade Italian food, Tony's Di Napoli is a Trouwjurken 2013 New York institution that can satisfy that craving. Located on Second Avenue at 83rd Street, Tony's Di Napoli has been in business since 1959. The focus is on homemade Southern Neopolitan dishes Een Schouder Prom Dresses like Baked Ziti Napolitano, Tri Colore Tortelloni Alfredo, Chicken Scarpiello or rich Lobster Fra Diavolo. Tony's Di Napoli also offers a selection of steaks and veal chops. Unlike Sfoglia or Ermenia Restaurant, also on the Upper East Side, Tony's Di Napoli is large, loud and good for large groups.
